Palaceside's volunteer fire brigade New Year drill was held on the 7th morning on the rooftop—a serious training, no holiday mood.

complaints aside, training was earnest. Menu: extinguisher initial attack (water, not powder

First, "fire outbreak" scenario—initial attack =photo left. Sixteen in four teams shouted "Fire!" and doused red cones.

Hose training from indoor standpipes—top photo. Three Aing guards at the 1F east "Disaster Center" demonstrated smooth discharge—see their stance? Hit the circular "fire" target dead center.

Rescue/first aid =photo bottom—triangular bandages, improvised stretcher, AED. Wrapped the "injured," carried on stretcher; CPR on dummy, AED shock, repeat compressions
