Just after noon on September 8. A blood donation bus is at the west entrance of Palaceside Building. Afternoon reception runs 12:15–4:00 p.m. Please help if you can.
The bus arrived around 9:00. Red Cross staff efficiently set up the building entrance reception counter =photo below: setup, and registration began at 10:00.

I went right away and found the registration procedure had changed slightly. Questionnaires are completed on a dedicated touch-panel tablet instead of paper. "Biometric (finger-vein) authentication" has replaced PIN codes, and I registered on the spot—no need to remember a PIN next time.
According to the Tokyo Red Cross Blood Center, blood stocks are chronically short; this year Tokyo needs 9,300 more donations (400 ml units) than last year.
Drawing takes about 10 minutes, but allow 30–40 minutes including the doctor's interview.
The weather looks uncertain and morning turnout was modest. Building tenants, neighbors, and passers-by—please hurry to the west entrance of Palaceside Building.
