Brazil 2014 has its Final Four—Brazil, Argentina, Germany or the Netherlands— and the drama keeps us hooked.
On Palaceside Building 1F, Art Salon Mainichi hosts a news photo show of the tournament—

about fifty shots by Mainichi photographers on assignment, capturing heated moments of players and supporters worldwide (photo left). Through the 12th, 10:00–18:00, free admission.
Neymar's injury, Messi's magic—the stars deliver. Crowds stayed steady at lunch. Japan's run is well covered, though sadly we exited in the group stage—personally more "dumplings (Colombian supporters) over flowers (Honda)" (sorry, serious fans)—see top photo.

Mainichi's news site runs "Japan's World Cup Journey" (http://mainichi.jp/sports/soccer/fwc/kiseki/) and the new recap "Still Green" ( start screen, photo upper right=http://mainichi.jp/sports/soccer/fwc/kiseki/fwc_2014.html) just posted.
The series uses "parallax"—scroll down and

photos and stories float up in sequence. Photo left shows the Greece match screen.
