Autumn seems to skip straight from summer to winter. Cool Biz ended and Warm Biz begins November 1. The Ministry of the Environment again calls for "WARM BIZ"—dress warmly in cold weather instead of relying too much on heating. November 1–March 31 is Warm Biz season. Recommended indoor temperature: 20°C. Lowering from 23°C to 20°C cuts major heating energy about 20%, helping prevent global warming. Warm Biz started in 2005 but lags Cool Biz in penetration. This year’s theme is "WARM BIZ + ONE"—one more item, idea, or action for fun, warmth, and comfort. Comfort matters.

Mainichi Building Co., which manages Palaceside Building, adjusted more than heating setpoints—hot-water temperature on tea machines rose from 80°C in power-saving mode to 90°C. Hot tea and coffee are the easiest, most affordable Warm Biz comfort.
