Today, June 6, is "Chiyoda Ward Mass Cleanup Day." Based on the Chiyoda Ward Living Environment Ordinance, residents and people who work in the area beautify the streets they live in — held twice a year, in this season and in November.
Palaceside Building took part too. Building staff plus volunteers from tenants — about 150 people in all — gathered at 8 a.m. at the west entrance on the Takebashi intersection side. Gloves, litter pickers, brooms, dustpans, and garbage bags were handed out, and everyone spread around the building for about 30 minutes of litter pickup.
I was assigned to the planting along Uchibori-dori — and it was a disaster! Branches and wood chips left in the hedges after pruning, everywhere! Two 45-liter bags filled in about 40 meters. What sloppy work!(`Д´)
It is the lull before the rainy season — not much rain yet — but mornings were still fairly humid, so a little movement brought plenty of sweat. Even so,

everyone worked with real dedication. Some tenants mobilized more than 70 employees — I am deeply impressed.
Collected litter was gathered in front of the main entrance. PET bottles, cans, broken umbrellas, paper scraps, wood chips, and more. Staff sorted it into about 30 forty-five-liter bags — a "big catch."(゚ロ゚;)
At home too, keeping things clean just feels good. Thank you to everyone who participated(^―^)
