Near Palaceside Building in Takebashi, Tokyo—Jimbocho's used-book district and more—within a ten-minute walk I found "Antenna Shop for 100% Soba and Local Sake, Fukushima" (Kanda Kincho, Chiyoda Ward). Run by an NPO supporting regional revitalization that has worked with Fukushima as a model area, it opened as a Fukushima local-sake antenna shop and later gathered sake from across Japan. Soba flour comes mainly from Tohoku including Fukushima. A "soba sake bar" serves lunch (11:30–14:00) and evening "quick-drink time" (17:00–22:00). This season, enjoy "snow-bed vegetables"—cabbage and carrots planted in summer and autumn, grown sweeter under snow. Some visit from afar hoping to support disaster-hit areas.
