Teke-ten-ten-ten, teke-ten-ten-ten... The sumo tournament drum announcement has come to Palaceside Building in Takebashi, Tokyo. On Saturday the 7th, the day before the New Year tournament, just after 1:20 p.m., seven members including caller Takuro of the Mihogaseki stable visited, and caller Tasuke of the Kitanoumi stable's crisp rhythm and high tones rang through the first floor and B1 shopping arcade.

They always visit Palaceside Building on the afternoon before tournament days at Ryogoku Kokugikan.

After touring the shopping arcade, they introduced first-day matchups in their distinctive calls—"For Hakuho~," "For Kisenosato~"—before The Mainichi Newspapers reception by the west elevator hall, drawing loud applause. Foreign tourists who happened by were delighted, snapping photos.

The group then boarded a wagon toward Ginza and other Tokyo spots to announce the tournament.
