On the 3rd, the takeout-only shop "Suzu no Omusubi" Hitotsubashi branch opened on 1F of Palaceside Building. Directly operated by a rice farmer in Yamagata Prefecture that has expanded to several locations in Tokyo including Ochanomizu and Ueno, its prices are slightly higher than those of rice balls found in convenience stores due to their meticulous selection of ingredients, but the flavor is guaranteed. The shop invites everyone, "Please enjoy our rice balls that taste delicious even when cold."
According to the operator, Suzuki Nosan Kikaku, the rice used is "Oyaji no Kome," a branded rice from their own farm that won the top award at the "Rice Contest in Shizuoka 2004." The shop's selling point is its thorough attention to ingredients: using top-grade Ariake seaweed from a long-established shop in Yokohama, natural salt from Niigata Prefecture, and fillings sourced from Toyosu Market.
Rice ball prices are 500 yen for silver salmon, 450 yen for Kishu Nanko plum, 390 yen for tuna mayo, 900 yen for salmon roe, and 700 yen for salted salmon roe. Recommended items include Salmon Oyako (silver salmon and salted salmon roe) for 850 yen and Chicken Oyako (egg yolk and minced chicken) for 700 yen.
