Ahead of the rainy season, the Palaceside Building held a flood-prevention drill on the 15th. About 50 people from Mainichi Building Co. and other building-related staff took part.
After checking points around the building at risk of inundation, participants reviewed how to install flood barriers at two locations including the main entrance, and practiced stacking sandbags near the underground parking exit.
There was also a demonstration of lightweight flood boards that are easy to set up in a sudden flood; a vendor connected the boards one after another.
