Three works by Yozuki Yanagi of Shotosha, a calligraphy group devoted to contemporary writing, are now on view in the Mainichi Shodokai show window on the first floor of the Palaceside Building. They were selected from the concurrent “Three-Person Exhibition” at the 37th Shotosha New Year Exhibition, held in Ginza, Tokyo, this January, and will remain on display through the 2nd of next month.
On view are two modern-poetry calligraphy pieces setting Yanagi’s own poems, including “Covered in damp moss…,” and one kanji work. All leave a strong impression with their flowing traces of ink.
