On Monday, the 20th of this month, the Palaceside Building will set up a blood-donation site at the west entrance. A bloodmobile from the Tokyo Metropolitan Red Cross Blood Center will be stationed there to call for donors. The organizers are seeking the cooperation of 50 or more people. Reservations through the website make the process smoother. A reservation-only souvenir is also available. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

The Palaceside Building hosts blood-donation drives twice a year, in spring and autumn. Reception hours are 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The draw itself takes about 10 minutes, but with a physician’s interview and other steps, the visit lasts 30 to 40 minutes from check-in to finish. Donors receive test results including ALT (GTP) and γ-GTP.
