On the 10th of this month the Tokyo Metropolitan Red Cross Blood Center will send a bloodmobile to the west entrance of the Palaceside Building to call for donors. Donors will receive either (1) a hair treatment or (2) a pollen-and-virus removal spray; those who reserved in advance will also receive large ramune candy. In addition, five donors will be chosen by lottery to receive a “fluffy luxury pillow.” Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated.
The Palaceside Building hosts blood-donation sites twice a year, in spring and autumn. Reception used to be 10:00–11:00 a.m. and 12:30–4:00 p.m., skipping lunch, but on the 10th it will run from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. so that people can donate during the lunch hour. The draw itself takes about 10 minutes, but with interviews and other steps the visit lasts 30 to 40 minutes from check-in to finish. Donors receive test results including ALT (GTP) and γ-GTP.
The center says “we need 60 or more participants.” Advance reservations help ease crowding. Reservations:
