A promotion for Kagome’s popular vegetable juice “Tsubuyori Yasai” began on the 16th for three days in the east popup space on the first basement level of the Palaceside Building. The juice is well known from newspaper inserts, and from the first day people lined up to taste it.
“Tsubuyori Yasai” (195 grams per bottle) is delivered to homes through the mail-order service Kenko Chokusohin. It is a Kagome specialty made from six carefully selected domestic vegetables, including carrot, tomato, celery, and lettuce. At the event, a case of 30 bottles, normally 7,776 yen including tax, is 3,240 yen including tax on the first delivery—58 percent off—when customers sign up for a regular-delivery course, and 6,480 yen including tax from the second delivery onward, a 16 percent discount.
Helped by the smoothie boom of recent years, tasters praised the distinctive, smoothie-like texture, and regular-delivery sign-ups followed one after another. The event is scheduled daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
