On the 12th, Keiji Yamaguchi, chief of the Tokyo Fire Department’s Kojimachi Fire Station, visited Mainichi Building Co. on the fifth floor, which manages the Palaceside Building, and presented a letter of thanks to President Kazuhisa Nakai for a “major contribution to the enhancement and development of emergency medical services.”
The letter is dated September 9, Emergency Medical Services Day. September 8–14, which includes that day, is Emergency Medical Services Week, when understanding of emergency care is promoted; the presentation was one of the related events.
Mainichi Building Co.’s “contribution” refers to advanced first-aid courses held in the building for tenant employees. As a tenant service that saves the trouble of traveling to a fire-department training facility, the building has hosted the course once a year since 2014; more than 300 people in total have earned certification.
