On the 6th, Chiyoda City's district-wide cleanup day, some 80 volunteers from tenants in the Palaceside Building joined in and sweated over picking up litter around the building.

The cleanup is held each June and November under the city's living-environment ordinance so that people who live or work in Chiyoda can beautify the streets themselves. The Palaceside Building has taken part since the campaign began in 1999.

Participants gathered at 8 a.m. in front of the west entrance at the Takebashi crossing, received work gloves, litter tongs and garbage bags from the building, then fanned out around the site. Collected trash was piled in front of the east main entrance and filled eleven 90-liter bags.
