Spring, in full bloom. A cherry-blossom fair decorating the interior with sakura is now on at the Palaceside Building. Cherry blossoms line the reception area at the main entrance and the "Stairway of Dreams" linking the first basement and first floors. Shopfronts on both floors also display flowering branches, announcing spring's arrival.
On the wall of the popup space on the east side of the first basement, extra-large wallpaper depicting a cherry tree has appeared. Cards shaped like blossoms are provided; as building users write messages of thanks and attach them to the branches, a tree in full bloom emerges.
The building is also cooperating with the Chiyoda Sakura Fund, which supports tree treatment and care to protect Chiyoda's official flower. A donation box stands with a poster introducing the work, and a poster advertises the Chiyoda Sakura Fund crowdfunding campaign, which has a target of 10 million yen. The fair runs through April 5.
