The Palaceside Building's spring comprehensive fire drill, timed with National Fire Prevention Week (March 1–7), was held on March 8 on the roof and elsewhere, with more than 300 tenant employees taking part.

Snow that had fallen at times in the morning stopped before noon and sunshine appeared as training began at 2:30 p.m. The scenario was an earthquake of intensity upper 6. After an initial-response drill of taking cover under desks, participants evacuated outside the tenant spaces as directed by building announcements. Once assembled on the roof, they practiced discharging water with extinguishers and indoor hydrants and lifesaving with automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

A Tokyo Fire Department VR disaster-prevention experience vehicle also appeared in front of the west entrance, and participants felt images and shaking as they simulated an earthquake (photo).
