Tomod's Takebashi Palaceside, the drugstore that opened last December on the first basement floor, will start operations at its adjoining pharmacy on February 1. With more than 200 stores mainly in the Tokyo area, Tomod's already has dispensing functions at more than 70 percent of them and aims to be a "family pharmacy" that combines sales of medicines and daily goods with a pharmacy counter.
According to the company, pharmacists with high expertise in dispensing make comprehensive judgments on interactions with over-the-counter drugs and supplements and support safe medication. Patients can also photograph and send prescriptions via the LINE mini-app "Dokodemo Shohosen Soshin" before arriving and pick up medicine efficiently. Another advantage of an in-store pharmacy is being able to shop for cosmetics, sundries and food while waiting.
Prescription reception is weekdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; closed Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
