A trunk show for Kashiyama, the made-to-order brand operated by Onward, opened on the 12th for a two-day run in the free space beside the main entrance on the first floor of the Palaceside Building. The brand says it draws on extensive experience and accumulated data to propose styles and fabrics tailored to Japanese physiques.

The event uses carefully selected new fabrics from well-known mills in Japan and abroad to tailor suits, jackets, pants, skirts and more. Made-to-order suits start at 33,000 yen and can arrive in as little as one week. Also on offer is KASHIYAMA EASY, a made-to-order setup designed for home washing and easy care.

In September, Kashiyama also began selling a limited-quantity Japan national rugby team 2023 original-model suit. The company has held an official supporter contract with the team since the 2021 season and supplies the suits players wear at official events. The suit, priced at 77,000 yen, features engraved buttons bearing the team slogan "Our Team" and a lining patterned with falling cherry blossoms.
