On the 6th, Chiyoda City's district-wide cleanup day, some 70 tenant volunteers from the Palaceside Building joined in and collected litter around the building.

The cleanup is held each June and November under the city's living-environment ordinance so that people who live in Chiyoda can beautify the streets with their own hands. The Palaceside Building has taken part since the campaign began in 1999.

Participants gathered at 8 a.m. in front of the west entrance and set out with work gloves, litter tongs and garbage bags supplied by the building. Cigarette butts, empty cans, PET bottles and other trash were piled in front of the east main entrance and filled seven 90-liter bags.
