An Okinawa products fair gathering sweets, ingredients and gourmet foods from the southern islands opened on the 22nd in the free space beside the main entrance on the first floor of the Palaceside Building. It was well received in March, so this is the third appearance since last year — a popular event.

More than 200 kinds line the tables, from staples such as chinsuko and sata andagi to Spam, island rakkyo, Okinawa soba and soki soba, but the bestsellers are said to be purple sweet-potato tart and umi-budo. Women were already buying them at lunchtime. The fair runs through Friday the 26th of this month.
