Sales of stylish, Instagram-ready sandwiches such as fruit sandwiches began on the 13th in the popup space on the east side of the first basement. They are popular especially with women, and sales are strong. They will be sold for five days through the 17th, ending each day when sold out.
The stall is cafe cocona, a handmade deli and bakery in Oshiage, Tokyo. The generous fruit sandwiches using whole seasonal fruit are recommended — strawberry, apple rum raisin, mandarin, special mix and more. The shop says, "Our fruit sandwiches, made with carefully chosen ingredients, aim not only for visual impact but for something unique, pursuing how cream and fruit work together and how they taste."
There is also a full lineup of savory sandwiches — ham-katsu yakisoba, miso-katsu egg, hamburger Napolitan, white-fish tartar and more — all substantial enough to satisfy.
