The online rakugo gathering "Shinsuke and Friends" (organized by The Mainichi Newspapers and others) will be livestreamed at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 20. The program includes two pieces such as "Tameshizake." Guest Osamu Koga, a senior editorial writer at the Mainichi, will also discuss issues surrounding the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (formerly the Unification Church).
The online series has been held monthly since April 2021; this 22nd edition will again be streamed from Kokontei Shinsuke's home rehearsal room. Koga has served as political news editor and chief editorial writer at The Mainichi Newspapers and has held his current post since 2019. He writes the newspaper column "Suisetsu." At the gathering he will offer talk that cuts into the former Unification Church issue, including "politics and religion."
Viewing is 1,500 yen. Catch-up streaming is available.
