On the 7th, Chiyoda City's district-wide cleanup day, about 70 tenant employees from the Palaceside Building joined in and sweated over picking up litter around the building.
The city's cleanup began in 1999 and is now held each June and November under the Chiyoda Living Environment Ordinance. The June event this year was cancelled for rain, so this was the building's first participation in a year.
Under clear autumn skies, participants gathered at 8 a.m. in front of the west entrance, then collected cigarette butts, empty cans and PET bottles in plantings and on sidewalks with tongs and bags prepared by the building. The trash was piled in front of the east main entrance and filled fifteen 45-liter bags.
