A one-day pop-up for NICOTEA, a black tea known for its large tea bags packed with leaves, will appear from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd in the first-floor free space beside the main entrance of the Palaceside Building. It first came to the building last November and was so well received that it is back. (Photo from the opening on November 26 last year)
NICOTEA’s hallmark is extra leaf, matched to the everyday mug. Most ordinary tea bags hold about 2 grams of leaf, assuming 150 ml of water in a teacup. Everyday mugs are larger than teacups, so more water thins both taste and aroma. NICOTEA increases the leaf to match 280–300 ml, so you can enjoy the tea as it should taste even from a mug. The larger bag also lets the leaves open slowly, which makes a better cup.
Have a cup, and smile—that is the wish packed into NICOTEA. Why not try it once?
