One month to Christmas itself! A Christmas tree has appeared in the basement first-floor corridor of the Palaceside Building. This year’s hallmark is color inspired by the Olympic palette. The gradient from red through blue, green, and white in ornaments and LED lights is said to image “light toward hope.”

2020, a year battered by the pandemic, is almost over. We hoped the tree might warm even a little the hearts of people who work in the building. Drop lights shine in the ceiling above the tree that reaches the first-floor atrium, creating a lively space.

The railings of the east and west Stairs of Dreams repeat the same gradient as the main tree. Please climb the colorful stairs and feel as if you are floating in midair. On the first floor, cute mini trees greet you. The baskets that hold them were chosen, we hear, to match the Palaceside Building’s warm atmosphere.

In the free space beside the main entrance we decorated a mid-size tree glowing with five colors of LED. May your Christmas be joyful and full. May you greet a peaceful, happy new year.
