July has begun. Around Takebashi the weather was unsettled, with occasional rain and sudden gusts. This year's rainy season feels as if it has brought a solid amount of rain. While we wait for summer, the Palaceside Building has started its power-saving period again (through the end of September).
At the Mainichi Building Co. offices, too, we thin out the ceiling fluorescent lights at lunchtime and try to help save even a little electricity. High-school baseball at Koshien, which used to affect summer power use, has sadly been canceled, but we still want to think about saving power with the same spirit: many small savings add up.
