The new shop on the first basement of the Palaceside Building, "YAKINIKU PALACE B," opened on May 27 =photo above. Tokyo's state of emergency over COVID-19 has been lifted and things are gradually normalizing, yet the building's "population" is still down because of telework. Even so, customers came at lunch and some bought boxed meals. In a tough climate, a fair start.

The location is easier if you think of the former Hyakunin-tei. Around the middle of the first basement. It is a sister shop of "Asian Dining Bar SAPANA Palaceside Building," also on B1.

Drinks include beer, sour, sake from noted brewers nationwide, shochu, plus beers of the world =photo left= and organic wine.

Lunch (11 a.m.–4 p.m.) lists a "one-plate lunch" (beef or pork 1,000 yen, chicken 980 yen) and roast-beef lunch 1,200 yen (all with salad

Takeout yakiniku bento are kalbi or harami 1,000 yen each, tongue 1,200 yen. We had the kalbi bento. Volume and flavor that say "this is meat" =photo right.

Forecasts say this summer may be hot, so to build stamina that will not lose to COVID, let's eat hearty.
