Flower beds have appeared on the Palaceside Building rooftop. The plan to make the building a little more pleasant for tenants was set before the COVID-19 issue, and they were installed in March. The state of emergency has reduced the building's "population" through telework and the like, but we hope they offer even a little comfort.
The rooftop is opened as a rest spot for tenant employees and others

on weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (closed in rain). As a rooftop garden rare in the city center, it commands a view of the Imperial Palace and has been featured in magazines as a hidden landmark. Turf is laid here and there, benches are provided, and many people linger at lunch; with flowers added, we hope they enjoy it even more.
This time we installed 12 rectangular planters along the south (Imperial Palace) and north fences =photo above= , plus large round planters (about 1.5 meters in diameter) =photos right, above= two each on the north and south, small square movable planters =photos at the end=

two each north and south, and eight small round planters on the two connecting walkways between north and south =photos right, below= . We are also planning to add a few more rectangular planters.
The planters, by the way, reuse thinned timber from Atami. We hope you feel the gentleness of nature.
Marigolds, gerberas, marguerites, lavender, plus olives and ivy — colorful flowers and leaves are vivid now. We plan to replant with the seasons, so please look forward to it.
