This is the parking entrance from Hakusan-dori on the east side of the Palaceside Building. It changed a little at the end of March. So, what is different between "before" and "after" =photo above.

Yes, you can see it. The signboard on the right of the entrance. The "full" and "spaces available" display. Looking close

, the old board =photo left= had an orange ground with a "P" and a motorcycle drawing, and showed only when the lot was full.

The new board =photo right= has a yellow ground with a blue car and

motorcycle stacked, and lights on the right that read "empty" or "full." Much cleaner. The slash-like unlit line on the character "empty" is because of the LEDs; the eye cannot see it, but they flicker in fine pulses, and the time lag causes it.

When the lot is full, as at "standard cars" in the photo below, the "full" display is a red — or rather orange — light. (The lot rarely fills, so this photo was taken when "full" was shown as a test at installation.)

The letter "P" disappeared from this board because the blue-and-white sign above already has a "P." We did not forget.

Tokyo is now in a state of emergency over COVID-19. Going out should be avoided as much as possible. We pray that things normalize soon and ordinary days return, when many people can use the building parking lot.
