Today, Wednesday, April 8, a blood-drive bus is running an "outreach blood donation" in front of the Palaceside Building west entrance. It continues until 4 p.m. Donations have fallen because of COVID, so if you are nearby, please help.
Some people worry about infection when donating. The Palaceside Building holds outreach drives every spring and autumn; this time, even midway, numbers seem about half the usual. The bus windows are thrown open for ventilation =photo below, and stations that can take four people at once skip every other seat — so we think there is little to worry about.
We also received a printout asking us to contact them if COVID infection is confirmed within four weeks after donating =photo below.
