COVID-19 infections keep spreading. How far will they go, and how long will they last? It is worrying.
Many people visit the Palaceside Building every day, and many pass through. Start worrying and there is no end, yet we feel we must still do everything we can think of.

First, we posted a request like the photo at right on bulletin boards and in restrooms. Above all, many experts say thorough hand-washing is vital. So, with the request, we have put up "infectious-disease measures" posters that explain "how to wash your hands correctly" in pictures =photos at the end= .
Experts also stress alcohol disinfection as a complement to washing. The building has long kept disinfectant alcohol mainly near entrances; this time we added more stations, especially on the first floor and first basement. Please use them when you enter =top photo.
We also told cleaners to step up cleaning and disinfection of shared areas. Places many people touch — elevator buttons, restroom stall slide locks, escalator handrails — are disinfected more often. You may see the work while you use the building; please understand.
■■Please do not steal the disinfectant■■
On alcohol disinfection there was also a very regrettable "incident." In the past two days or so, disinfectant left in first-floor and B1 restrooms was stolen. The quiet, patient mutual aid of Japanese people after the Great East Japan Earthquake is said to have moved many around the world — which makes this all the more sad. We also hear other ugly stories: masks stolen, or expensive goods tied to mask sales.
Precisely at a time like this, we want to treasure the spirit of helping one another.
