The Palaceside Building's year-end tradition — a Christmas tree and assorted decorations — appeared this week and is delighting people passing through. As last year, they emphasize "brightness" and "red." This really is the classic look, the most "Christmas-like," perhaps.
In the first-basement central-concourse atrium a giant tree about 6 meters high stands in the center; from the first-floor ceiling above it, six 2-meter LED illuminations hang in a row to suggest the Milky Way, accented by white snow crystals large and small. On the ceiling in front of each shop, bright-red flags reading "Merry Christmas 2019" line up and lift the Christmas mood =photo above.
The atri

um drop-wall sides and the Stairway of Dreams also received ten 4-meter illuminations in all. Left and right of the east and west Stairways of Dreams on the first floor, 1.8-meter trees are also set =photo left. In the open space beside the first-floor main entrance, a 2-meter mid-size Christmas tree dressed with champagne-gold ornaments and lights stands with a

reindeer =photo right.
Last year and this year feel quite similar, but before that — not to be merely quirky — we sometimes tried something a little different, so we lined up photos from the past five years at the end. If you see them every year and think "that one was nice," we would be glad...
Less than a month and a half remains this year; Christmas and then New Year are close. We want to see the year out in good health.
