Chiyoda Ward Clean-Up Day was held June 6. At the Palaceside Building, 193 people including tenants picked up litter around the building =photo above. Thank you, everyone.

The sweep is held every June and November under the ward's living-environment ordinance so residents and workers themselves keep the streets beautiful. The Palaceside Building has taken part from the start.

At 8 a.m. they gathered in front of the west entrance at Takebashi Crossing. Just before the rainy season, it was a midsummer day; at assembly the temperature was nearly 25 degrees and, with the sun, muggy. Participants received work gloves, litter tongs and bags prepared by the building, fanned out around the site and sweated for about 30 minutes

Regular large groups included 83 from NTT Business Associe in matching fluorescent yellow windbreakers and 34 from FamilyMart in black jumpers. This time, for the first time, 19 from Media Do joined, led by President Yasushi Fujita. Building staff and contractors for facilities and cleaning totaled 36.

Litter was collected in front of the east main entrance and sorted =photo right. Thirteen 45-liter bags (7 burnable, 3 non-burnable, and one each of cans, bottles and PET bottles). Chiyoda Ward collected them.
