Sorry for the sudden association-game feel. Please look at the three photos.

The hint is "Chiyoda Ward Clean-Up Day." Yes — that was November 6; at the Palaceside Building 135 people including tenant staff walked around picking up litter. The "props" are tongs (litter scissors) =top photo, work gloves =photo above left, and bags of collected trash =photo above right=.

The sweep is held every June and November under the ward's living-environment ordinance so we who live in Chiyoda keep the streets beautiful. The Palaceside Building has taken part from the start.

At 8 a.m. they gathered at the west entrance at Takebashi Crossing, took tools prepared by the building, fanned out around the site, poked tongs into Uchibori-dori plantings =photo at the end, and energetically collected butts and drink cans around the smoking spot under the expressway behind — about 30 minutes of sweat.

Regular large groups included 72 from NTT Business Associe in matching fluorescent yellow windbreakers and 28 from FamilyMart in black jumpers. Building staff and facilities and cleaning contractors also worked hard.

Litter was collected in front of the east main entrance: ten 45-liter bags (6 burnable, and one each of non-burnable, cans, bottles and PET bottles).

Thank you very much, everyone who took part. Next is June 2019; we look forward to your help again.
