A new shop, Spaghetti Mariano, opens on March 12 at the Palaceside Building. It is on the first floor south, next to PRONTO, where Kake Gakuen was until recently. It is a new format from the Italian restaurant chain Saizeriya, so interest looks high.

The photo above shows the shop in the final push of opening prep. The light makes the sign at upper center hard to see; the logo is as in the photo below.

Saizeriya is known for outstanding value among family restaurants; Spaghetti Mariano is a new pasta-only fast-food format. The first shop opened in 2016 at Nihonbashi Kayabacho (Chuo Ward, Tokyo); after Shibaura Seavans (Minato Ward) and Akihabara Suehirocho (Chiyoda Ward), the Takebashi Palaceside Building shop is the fourth.

There are 65 seats — quite spacious. Hours are weekdays 7:00–21:00, Saturdays 11:00–15:00 (closed Sundays and holidays); weekdays 7:00–10:30 are morning time.

Main lunch-to-evening menus are as on the flyer at the end. A single set (160 g pasta + salad + complimentary soup) is 500 yen; a double set (320 g pasta) is 600 yen. Sides and drinks are also ready. House wine (red or white, 120 yen each) means a light glass in the evening is fine.

They declare “we will not keep you waiting,” so it should come out quickly. Takeout is of course OK.

Morning menus: morning coffee + morning bread 200 yen (20 yen off single items), potage + morning bread 220 yen (50 yen off). Morning pasta is 290 yen.

The shop says, “We serve authentic Italian spaghetti hot and freshly made, quickly. In the morning, vegetable-rich potage or coffee. At lunch we have various spaghetti waiting for you.”
