A little late to report: the autumn session of Chiyoda Ward Mass Cleanup Day, when we make the streets beautiful ourselves, was held again this year on November 7. Palaceside Building also took part: 157 people, including employees of tenants, sweated earnestly picking up litter (photo above).

The cleanup is held every June and November under the Chiyoda Living Environment Ordinance, and Palaceside Building has a perfect attendance from the start.

That morning at 8:00 we gathered in front of the west entrance, took tongs and bags, and for 30 minutes to an hour walked the plantings and sidewalks around the building picking up scraps, cigarette butts, cans and PET bottles. Bags were collected in front of the east main entrance (photo at right) — fourteen 45-liter bags of burnable waste, non-burnable waste, bottles, cans and PET bottles.

Participants included 52 from NTT Business Associate, 24 from NTT Business Associate Partners, 30 from FamilyMart and 20 from MS&AD Systems, plus building staff and contracted facilities and cleaning crews.

Thank you to everyone who helped. Well done.
